Bio

Dr. William Giddings earned his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Mathematics, a Master’s Degree in Education and a PhD in Higher Education Administration, all from Iowa State University. He also participated in a brief post-doctoral program at the University of Texas. Dr. Giddings enjoyed a 38-year community college career in Iowa and Nebraska, serving the last 19 years as a community college president. He also served as an adjunct instructor for Buena Vista University (math), Drake University (graduate statistics), and Doane College and Bellvue University in Nebraska. He retired in 2011. He was honored with the Virgil Lagomarcino Laurite Award from the College of Human Studies at Iowa State University in 2009. He also received the Outstanding Chief Executive Award from both the Nebraska Community College Association in 1999 and the Iowa Association of Community College Trustees in 2010.
