Combinatorics/Algebra Seminar

The seminar this academic year is tasked with fostering an interdisciplinary research collaboration devoted to geometrical and physical phenomena that extend from periodicity to quasi-periodic and aperiodic structures.
For mathematicians unfamiliar with the topic, an initial summary of the scope may be found in de Bruijn’s work on Penrose tilings, and further in Beenker’s important report.
