Micah Coats -The Isoperimetric Inequality for sets with sufficiently smooth boundaries.
Abstract- The Isoperimetric inequality for sets in Euclidean space states that the ball uniquely minimizes the surface area for sets of some fixed measure. Proving this in general for measurable sets is challenging but an elegant proof for sets with sufficiently smooth boundaries is much easier and will be presented in this talk.
