Piles of candy were ready for trig-or-treaters stopping by 400 Carver. The five-year tradition encourages students to visit the math department for “trig-or-treating,” where candy and fun trig facts can be found. “We use ‘or’ in the mathematical sense which includes the possibility of having both,” said Steve Butler, associate professor of mathematics and organizer of the event.
