Stinga receives IMA PI Conference Award

Pablo Raúl Stinga, assistant professor in mathematics, has been awarded funding for his upcoming conference: Nonlocal School on Fractional Equations – NSFE 2017, from the Institute from Mathematics and its Applications (IMA). In addition to providing funding, the IMA will list the conference on their website.

The conference, which brings together experts in Modeling, Regularity Theory, and Numerical Analysis on fractional nonlocal partial differential equations, will be held August 17-19, 2017 on Iowa State’s campus. There will be mini-courses held by Luis A. Caffarelli, professor of mathematics at The University of Texas at Austin and Ricardo H. Nochetto, professor of mathematics at The University of Maryland, College Park and several invited speakers giving research presentations. Graduate students and postdoctoral researchers are encouraged to attend.
