Congratulations to Michael Young, assistant professor of mathematics, on receiving a Big 12 Faculty Fellowship award. Young will visit John Goldwasser, professor of mathematics at West Virgina Univeristy, in the spring of 2017 to collaborate on two projects: a switching problem on a graph and a polychromatic coloring of graphs problem.
Goldwasser is a former Iowa State University faculty member and will also be visiting the math department here at Iowa State this November 14-18.
