Bio

Md Zulfiqur Haider (he/him/his), also known as MD, MZ, or Z, is a Ph.D. student pursuing a co-major in Applied Mathematics and Aerospace Engineering at Iowa State University. His research focuses on optimal transport, Schrödinger bridges, stochastic optimal control, and mean-field dynamical systems, with applications to Transformer-based machine learning models. With a strong background in applied mathematics, numerical analysis, and differential equations, he utilizes MATLAB and Python for mathematical modeling, numerical simulations, and computational algorithm development. His interdisciplinary research aims to bridge rigorous mathematical theory with practical applications in artificial intelligence and engineering.
